We understand that each of our clients are in different situations. Please let us know during your consultation with our intake coordinator whether you are wanting to pay out of pocket or use insurance.

 Cash Pay: For those without insurance or do not wish to bill insurance

 Session fees are due at time of service. 

• You are able to receive quality mental health services without insurance involvement.
• You will not be limited to a daily or annual session limit imposed by an insurance company, and can continue therapy until you feel ready to discharge. This also means that you can have multiple appointments on the same day, such as individual therapy and group therapy.
• Your insurance company cannot access your chart and use your mental health record.

Our internship program is staffed with carefully selected graduate students who are completing their studies toward mental health licensing. When you work with an intern, you will receive personalized professional services in a private practice setting for an affordable rate. Working with an Intern is like having two counselors for the price of one: your Intern counselor who is guided and coached by their clinical supervisor.

We currently have providers in-network with Aetna, BCBS-AZ, Cigna, Magellan, Medicare, and United Health Care. We do not accept Medicaid (AHCCCS).  Please call the office to determine if your insurance is accepted by your counselors. Having insurance does not guarantee payment for your sessions. The patient is financially responsible for all sessions. Session fees are due at the time of service.  

We will verify your benefit, but it is important that you know your coverage as well. Here are some helpful questions you can ask your insurance provider:

- What are my mental health benefits for an office visit?

- What is my financial responsibility per therapy session?

- Is there a limit on how many sessions are covered?

- Is "Julia Spain, LPC" an in network or out of network provider?

- If she is an out of network provider, do I have out of network benefits?

- Is pre-approval required from my primary care physician?

• Licensed Associate Counselors, under the supervision of Julia Spain, accept Aetna, BCBS, and Cigna. 
• All of our providers that are Licensed Professional Counselors accept Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Magellan, Medicare, and United Health Care.
• We accept cash, check, HSA/FSA cards, and all major credit cards as the form of payment.
• Payment is collected the morning of your appointment.
• Your credit card will be kept on file and charged for all appointment fees. If you have an HSA/FSA, please let us know. Additional appointments will not be scheduled until balance is paid in full. 
• A minimum of 24-hour notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. The full private pay rate will be charged for sessions missed without such notification.
