Lori Brill, LAC

My name is Lori Brill, and I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Christian Counseling.

I believe meaningful change begins when individuals feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, and I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I value authenticity, empathy, and trust within the counseling relationship, recognizing that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-discovery.

With a background in Christian Counseling, I am open to incorporating faith into the counseling process in a way that feels natural and supportive to you. Whether faith is central to your life or not, you will always be met with respect, compassion, and acceptance.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, or other personal challenges, my goal is to walk alongside you with care and support while helping you build insight, resilience, and confidence throughout your healing journey.

Hometown

I was born and raised here in Arizona, growing up in Ahwatukee. I now live in Gilbert with my husband, two children, and two dogs.

Why I became a Counselor

I became a counselor because I have always been passionate about helping others navigate their physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. My background in healthcare, combined with my own experiences with trauma and anxiety, has given me both the professional knowledge and personal understanding to support others through life’s challenges with compassion and empathy.

Favorite Activities and Hobbies

I love crafting, whether it’s creating projects with my Cricut, drawing with my kids, or taking on home DIY projects. I also enjoy practicing yoga and meditation, but most of all, I value spending quality time with my family and friends.

Favorite Books:

Before having children, I was an avid reader. These days, much of my reading time is spent enjoying Little Critter and pop-up books with my kids. Although I do not get to read for myself as often as I’d like, I still enjoy revisiting some of my longtime favorites, including the Love Comes Softly series and The Shack.

Favorite Music and Entertainment:

“I’m a big fan of country music and can usually be found listening to that or ‘90s hip-hop, rap, and pop. I also never seem to tire of rewatching The Office, Schitt's Creek, Golden Girls, or Grey's Anatomy.

Insurances:

Aetna, BCBS, and Cigna

Private pay - $130/Session
