Women's DBT Meditation & Skills Group. Wednesdays at 12:00. Mesa
My name is Doreen Wruk. I am a graduate student at Northern Arizona University and part of completing my education is through this clinical internship.
I have worked in the social work field for almost 2 decades. I have focused on working with families in crisis and supporting them through that crisis. I have watched and helped families grow, develop and learn from experience. I believe in the importance and value of healthy relationships. I understand how difficult it can also be to manage family dynamics including family changes, divorce, adoption, and the changes that families process through. I also understand that family dynamics play a role in who we see ourselves and how we manage crisis and change. At times, we all need help managing the emotions and struggles that happen in our lives. I have also used therapy myself to help me manage my relationships better, recognize relationships that weren’t working for me, and work through life changes.
In my day-to-day life, I am a mom to 4 adult kids and have myself been through many life changes myself. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our blended kids, traveling when we have the opportunity, and spending time with our friends.
