Women's DBT Meditation & Skills Group. Wednesdays at 12:00. Mesa
I attended Arizona State University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in May 2020. For graduate school, I went to Northern Arizona University and received my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2023.
I take a humanistic approach with counseling and implement client-centered therapy and dialectical behavior therapy in sessions while also integrating elements of Gestalt therapy and mindfulness into my work. I primarily work with clients of 13 years and above.
If you are here reading this, I commend you for taking this first step to healing by simply looking into counseling and different therapists. We all have the potential for change and improvement but many of us do not know the steps to do so or what resources are available to help us along the way. I believe that as the client you are the expert of yourself and as the counselor I am here as a guide to help you towards the goals you aim to achieve. Together we will work on processing your thoughts and developing skills in a safe and judgment-free space to better help you grow and thrive.
“A person is a fluid process, not a fixed and static entity; a flowing river of change, not a block of solid material; a continually changing constellation of potentialities, not a fixed quantity of traits.”
― Carl R. Rogers
Hometown:
My hometown is Tempe. I love living in Arizona because of all the different beautiful scenery you can see throughout the state and that it is sunny 99% of the time
Why I became a counselor:
I decided to become a therapist because I wanted to help others find the light within themselves when they feel as if they are shrouded in darkness and to let them know they do not have to go through their journey of growth and healing alone.
My favorite spot in AZ and my hobbies:
My favorite spot in Arizona is my home because my fiancé and Golden Retriever are there with me and I always feel happiest when I am spending time with them. My hobbies include playing video games, reading, photography, binging TV shows, and traveling.
Favorite books:
My favorite book is Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. As an Asian American who is a caretaker to one of their parents with a terminal illness, I deeply resonated with much of what Michelle wrote about in her memoir.
