Amy Irons, LAC

Hello, my name is Amy!

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor who specializes in trauma. I have several years of experience supporting adolescents and adults with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related challenges. I help my clients develop healthy coping skills by utilizing evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while maintaining a client-centered, strength-based approach. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where clients can process their experiences and move toward healing and transformation.

Educational History:

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and later pursued a Master’s degree in Counseling from Ottawa University. My educational journey deepened my understanding of human behavior and reinforced my commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care.

Why I became a therapist:

From a young age, I have been fascinated by how the human brain works and how our thoughts and emotions shape the way we experience the world. This curiosity grew into a passion for understanding people on a deeper level and helping them navigate life’s challenges. As a therapist, I find fulfillment in supporting others as they uncover their strengths, build resilience, and realize their full potential. My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences, and gain insight.

Hobbies outside of work:

I enjoy spending time with my two adult children and husband of twenty-three years.  I also enjoy running and hiking.  I have a heart and passion for helping animals and have several cats that I love. I also enjoy reading true crime and historical fiction books.

Insurance:

Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna.

Private pay- $125.00/session
